Opened in September 2016, this pioneer kicked off the Seongsu cafe boom. A converted metal-parts factory, it preserves the concrete, red brick and iron staircase in a vintage space. Enjoy bread from the renowned bakery "BREAD05" alongside barista coffee. It became even more famous after TVXQ's Changmin visited.

A red-brick building once used as a rice mill in the 1970s, now converted into a gallery space that keeps its retro atmosphere intact. Hugely popular with young couples and groups of girlfriends, it's a true Seongsu landmark. The signature drink is the "Geisha-bean Einspänner", and the americano and cafe mocha are also recommended.

A cream-bread specialty shop made by a chef who trained at France's Le Cordon Bleu, using a brioche dough fermented at low temperature for 72 hours. The signature "salted cream bread" wins over travelers with its buttery flavor and not-too-sweet cream. There's no seating, so it's takeout only — best enjoyed in Yeontral Park.

A retro cafe born out of nostalgia for 1980s Seoul. The hanok interior is filled with nostalgic items, creating a space that carries Korea's fading traditional charm into the present. Signature offerings include the Einspänner and a Korean-sweets (hangwa) set.

Opened in 2009, this was Ikseon-dong's first hanok cafe. A traditional teahouse with a century of history, its beautiful hanok space with genuine old gates and rafters leaves a strong impression. Signature items include authentic Korean herbal teas and traditional desserts like ssanghwacha and mugwort rice cakes with Korean honey. Perfect for those who want to enjoy a quiet moment away from the crowds.
